Noisette Roses

An exquisite family of climbing roses from last century with relatively few thorns compared to many other roses. Pastel colours, blooms borne in clusters with great fragrance. Many repeat well. Vigorous in a refined sort of way. Wonderful foliage. While they are not tolerant of extreme cold, they are a graceful and stylish family which never disappoints.

Alister Stella Gray - 1894

Fragrant, free flowering, double yellow blooms with darker centres. Tolerates some shade but prefers full sun. Can be grown through trees. 4.5m. Out of stock for 2012.

Blanc Pur - 1827

Fragrant, large, double, pure white flowers. repeats throughout the season. Prefers full sun. 2.5m.

Blush Noisette - 1825

Shrub-climber. Pink buds open to large clusters of small fragrant, blush pink blooms. Tough and healthy, free flowering. Grows well in light shade. Tolerant of poor soil. Can be grown as a small climber, pillar rose or as a shrub. One of the first noisettes. To 2m.

Desprez a Fleurs Jaune - 1835

Fragrant, double flowers are a mixture of yellow, buff and pink. Free flowering. Grows at the entrance of our shop and often admired. Tolerant of poor soil and shade. To 3m.

Lamarque - 1830

Beautiful, pure white, highly scented, double blooms repeat flower. Good cut flower. Good on an arch or trellis. 4.5m. Out of stock for 2012.

Manetti - 1835

Pink buds open to large clusters of small double, pink blooms. Summer flowering. Has some fragrance. Tolerant of poor soil and shade. Grow as a shrub. 1.8m.

Mme Alfred Carriere - 1879

Large, fragrant pinkish-white blooms produced over a long period. Tolerant of shade and poor soil. A strong grower. Can be grown through trees. 4.5m. Out of stock for 2012.

Princesse de Nassau - 1835

Autumnalis. Yellow buds open to large clusters of small, double, creamy-yellow blooms. Has some fragrance. Summer flowering. 2.5m.
