Shrub and Bush Roses Some definitions to help you in your selection: Bush roses generally grow no more than waist high. Shrubs can grow head high, often as wide as they are high. Single blooms have but five petals. Double blooms have many more petals often in layers, sometimes flat, swirling, cupped or quartered. Our shrub and bush roses are listed in their families to the right. Each family tends to have particular characteristics.
