Missionaries, Wives & Roses by Ann Chapman
This book has been described as "without doubt one of the most important tomes on NZ history to be published for many years" as well as being "a pleasure to look at as well as to read." The book describes the lives of the first settlers to New Zealand including missionaries and especially their wives. It also shows the roses that were named in honour of these pioneering women, that were bred by New Zealander Ken Nobbs, himself a missionary. We have many of these roses available for sale. Many of his ramblers also have the advantage of being relatively thorn free.
