Alberic Barbier - 1900
Wichurana rambler. Butter yellow buds open to muddled creamy white blooms flushed with lemon. Apple fragrance. Dark green glossy foliage. Tolerant of shade, poor soil and wind. Grows well throughout windy Wellington and along the side of the road by Pukerua Bay where it gets hammered by wind and salt. Has a big spring flush and then has many repeats right throughout the season. Bred by Barbier of France. To 6m.
